Cuyahoga County Corruption-Update, the Dimora Story

Henry Gomez' account of the rise and fall of Cuyahoga County Commissioner Jimmy Dimora was obviously, long in the works and is brilliant journalism.

  1. A journalist on the radio this AM says Dimora accidently fell into a pond of shit at his water treatment plant maintenance job in Bedford Heights and being so aggravated by the mocking from the Mayor, when he complained about the conditions that led to the indignity that he ran for Mayor and unexpectedly won.

  2. Great story about Jimmy, I have heard a similar account. The B & W pic really moves me. I can't help but be effected by the fall of all these men and women. In some ways, this was always going on in Cuyahoga County, when the republicans were in power: Perk, Voinovich, Sinagra, Bennett & Harbarger; and, of course when the dems took over. The rules changed mid-game. It was corruption before, it's corruption now. NO EXCUSES. Still you know that this is just one moment in a history of deal making and self seeking that will continue in other forms. Now the question is are only elites eligible to run regional government?
