Great "Defenses" In Criminal Law

Every week we have great stories from the all over the world of stoopid excuses in court for criminal acts as with Michaelangelo who claimed rape and child porn was "art", sometimes, though we get the really weird as with this the report from WYFF in which a Man claims he was "just massaging the meat, not actually stealing it."

Once again, I will not supply an image, that's up to you.

  1. Criminal law is the principal means by which the government identifies and criminalises behaviour that is considered wrong, damaging to individuals or to society as a whole or is otherwise unacceptable. The criminal justice system is the mechanism by which action is taken to deal with those suspected of committing offences. There are four theories of criminal justice: punishment, deterrence, incapacitation, and rehabilitation. It is believed that by imposing sanctions for the crime, society can achieve justice and a peaceable social order. The mission of the Criminal Justice Section is to improve the criminal justice system and to serve its members, the profession and the public.
