Deputy Jails Himself, Tries to Blast His Way Out

An Adair County, Kentucky Deputy, Charles Wright somehow locked himself into a jail cell in the County new lockup.  He then tried to shoot his way out.  The story is at the Courier-Journal website.

According to the Sheriff Ralph Curry, the deputy was claustrophobic.  He's also now unemployed.

  1. When I was a college student I interviewed for a part time security guard job. The company was run by a former State Trooper who had lost his state job after running his car low on oil and using his service revolver to open a hole in the can. I was offered the job but I thought twice about the wisdom of going to work for this loose screw.
